Take the Dante's Inferno Hell Test
This Hiro attracts Those We Do Not Speak Of. You must bury it.
1: The tension with Adam -- might be. Yeah. That. Hiro? Not real down with that, but-- there is some niggling emotion beyond just pals and-- you know, it's just not worth exploring. Between the betrayal and the death, it's killed the potential. But some part of him knows it was there, and doesn't want to admit it.
2: On the other hand, he's never felt anything but deep and abiding friendship for Ando. ... but is totally not okay with him dating his sister. He's just not.
3: On the other OTHER hand, if someone came to him and said if he gave his life or his powers or whatever was asked, and Charlie would be alive, he would give it. No questions asked.... even 3nowing that in the end, she chose her death -- quick and violent, instead of waiting for the lingering brain issue to finally snuff her.
4: Sometimes, he has to admit it: His father might have been a bad man sometimes. The result did not justify the cost. This makes him question too much, too far back...
5: He reads shoujo manga more then he reads shounen. Oh, he loves boy adventure series, but he's a big wibbly romantic at heart and loves things like Fushigi Yuugi and more. But it's SO GIRLY-- but he cannot confess it.

Hiro is making promises he cannot keep. He tells them he doesn't want to hurt anybody (Someday he will.) and he is trying to save the world (Stopping the moment that creates this one.) he is not the man they're looking for! (Someday he be.)
Arrested, hauled away, kept in the company of the Haitian while they rough him up, demand answers, plans, where are his friends? (Where is Ando?) He cannot give them any satisfactory answers. It only makes them more angry. Everyone here has lost someone when New York burned, and people like him (Special people.) are to blame. It is all his fault. (He didn't stop it, did he?)
He is bruised, repeatedly tazed to keep him submissive, and is left, disheveled and scared with a man that he cannot feel there -- as if he is somehow not there to his keener sense of space. It as if there is a walking gap, a human optical illusion, battering against his awareness of time and space.
The Haitain seems to realize this and stays close. It proves fatal when Dr. Suresh turns on him.
Hiro asks no more questions; not of Ando and his other-self when he arrives, not of Suresh who proves to know what it means to be a hero -- to do what is right when it is hardest. He wants to commit that to memory, but it is his next sight that will forever be burned into his eyes.
All he can say is, "I'm dead," when Parkman shoots his alter-self. When Hiro Nakamura watches Hiro Nakamura's heart stops, he cannot move. He is ashen to the lips. He is almost a corpse himself.
It is Ando that draws him back. Faithful Ando, good friend, boon companion -- without him, this all would have been for not. So, with Ando in tow, he reappears in New York. He looks at at his dead-self's legacy, the panel of Mr. Isaac's stark inks showing what must be the death of Sylar...
"Now the hard part..."
He has no idea.

It is a regular room -- no suite can be found here. Hiro's accomodations are spare; he has piles of comics, yes, books here and there, and the precious tube with the painting for Mr. Linderman near his bed...
...but he's not really looking at any of it; once he's ushered Charlie inside, he takes off his glasses and wipes his eyes.
This is going to be hard.

It was a lot to think about but Hiro had little else to do on that bus rolling down the Texas highway; had it really been six months previous, and now, six months forward? Two of him -- briefly existing in the same time frame, one making the same mistake?
But none of that time with Charlie was a mistake; no, not any of it.
Moodiness did not suit Nakamura Hiro; no, he knew his archetype; he was the Peter Parker, the Young Hero! He knows how it's supposed to go - he'd read enough comics, and part of him thought that maybe, just maybe...
Aishiteru...
Maybe he'd met his Mary Jane.
She even had red hair.
But no. Looks like it was more 'woman in the fridge' jokes, instead. Green Lantern, here he came. No fun, he decided. This was rapidly becoming scary; gangsters ripped apart, a girl he couldn't save--death could not be turned away. Not by Hiro's powers. No; the course of time could not be entirely derailed. What done was done.
Didn't Peter Parker's heaven have a revolving door for heroes and the people they loved?
The bus went on -- and Hiro grieved for the past, and wondered about the future.
